It's about a series of choices.

Do you do pursue the thing you want to do, or take the easy way out and just keep doing just the things you need to do?

Do you learn the things you want to learn, not just the things you need to learn?

Should you pursue the idea that brings you great joy rather than just the routine that bores you?

At what point do you confront the behaviors that are destroying you, the actions and activities that horrify you, and take on the steps that will resurrect you?

When does the time come in which you will finally decide to pursue the dreams and visions you had thought about when you were small, only to see them continually interrupted and postponed by all the day-to-day routines which stifle your ability to pursue them?

Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.

John Lennon

It's all a series of choices, and at some moment in time, you need to confront the ones that will define your future.

Clearly, many people have put these moments of choice under a microscope as we see massive career upheaval with what's been dubbed The Great Resignation. The stark events of the last few years have crystallized for many people that they should focus more on what they like to do rather than defining themselves simply by what they do for a living. Others, wallowing in the despair that a massively complex, locked-down world has brought them to, seek solace in recovery.

All around us, people are making a choice.

What's yours?
